Symptoms of Osteoporosis


Osteoporosis is a bone disease which has characteristic properties decreased bone mass and quality of bone tissue that can eventually lead to fragility. With this unique nature of the symptoms of osteoporosis are not easily detected.


Usually a person known to have osteoporosis as a fracture has occurred due to thinning and change in body posture because the bones are not strong enough to sustain the body. Bone loss occurs because the bone density decreased. If left too long the bones break easily.


More women suffer from osteoporosis because the body is the hormone calcitonin which play an important role in maintaining levels of calcium in the bones so that bones stay strong and solid. Performance hormone calcitonin is influenced by the hormone estrogen. at premonopouse and monopouse hormone estrogen decline, so the performance of the hormone calcitonin in maintaining levels of calcium become less maximal. This is why osteoporosis is more common in women approaching the middle monopouse and monopouse.


Another symptom is pain arising in the joints, such as in the arms, the back bone and the legs. The pain usually occurs very often when doing heavy activity and occur in reached - arrived.
