What is Osteoporosis ?


Did you ever see a man who walked stooped? Or an elderly woman who uses a wheelchair to walk? The old man must have suffered from osteoporosis, which causes the curved spine strong and not support her.


Osteoporosis is a disease caused by a decrease in bone density is slowly for many - years before we realize that bones become brittle and break easily. The symptoms of osteoporosis usually occur after the age of 50 years and is not easily detected early. Usually women are the most suffering from osteoporosis, but also many men who suffer from osteoporosis can occur in women and men.


To find out if a person has osteoporosis, can be done based on the perceived symptoms, physical examination and bone X-rays. Osteoporosis usually occur because of lack of estrogen, lack of calcium intake and lifestyles that are less healthy.


Human beings require daily calcium intake of 1000 mg. According to the survey, every day we met only 250 mg calcium and 750 mg deficiency. Contained much calcium in the bone. If our bodies lack of calcium so your body takes calcium on bone. If there is a continuous decrease in bone density would be so easy to brittle bones and fractures, it is called OSTEOPOROSIS.
